Creating a Business for your Life: Interview with XO Sarah
Building a Business for Your Lifestyle
XO Sarah is a business coach and fellow introvert who built a business that successfully fits with her lifestyle and personality. Now, she’s helping others do the same! Here are some of the key takeaways from this discussion with XO Sarah:
Figure out what works for your personality. Sarah took the leap of faith to start her own business after working in a hectic office space where she didn’t feel entirely comfortable or happy. As an introvert, she enjoyed working on her own and being more independent, which helped motivate her to make a change in her career and jumpstart her coaching. She now has the ability to create her own schedule and balance her life more successfully.
Be okay with feeling uncomfortable. Sarah shared that it took her quite a long time to get totally comfortable and confident doing video/live coaching. However, she knew that doing video would eventually be a great thing for her business, so she pushed herself to keep doing it and learned the skills that now make her a stronger coach in the digital age
Make sure your business is adaptable. As Sarah shared, she recently made the decision to make a shift in her coaching business to combine all of her individual courses into an all-inclusive membership. She made the decision to do this in order to make her educational materials more available and accessible to her students.
Delegate tasks to others. If you have the means to do so, hiring out contractors to do smaller tasks that you don’t enjoy doing (blogging, editing, designing, etc.) is an easy way to free up your time to focus on the parts of your business you’re more passionate about.
