Depth in Activities
How Going In-Depth in Activities/Interests Can Improve Your Life
Introverts typically have a tendency to dive deep into activities/topics, devoting a lot of time and energy into them. This can look like many different things, including being really interested in an author, a television show/genre, a type of artist, etc., and then doing research on it, going to events/gatherings for it, donating to causes that support it, and more. Going really in-depth with certain activities/interests can have some great benefits, including:
It’s a good exercise for your brain. By diving into details and exploring new aspects of a topic, you build up your brain power, which can actually help with improving memory
It’s a great way to make friends. Connecting with certain people over shared interests or passions (seeing people at the same types of events, connecting over social media, etc.) can really aid in building relationships and growing different types of friendships that you may not have been exposed to otherwise
It’s important to remember to give yourself the time and space to enjoy and invest in the things you love, regardless of whether other people deem it as “weird” or “a waste of time.” Focusing on these passions can help build your character, help you meet new people, and help exercise your brain and memory power.
