How To Explain Our Strengths In Interviews
The work landscape out there is rough out there. It’s hard to know what to say, what is actually important. You only get so much time. And as an introvert, talking about ourselves is nerve-racking as it is. You want to make a good impression and also give all the info they will need to get them to choose you.
Know What To Say First
Go back over the application and remember what the position is about. What are the skills they wanted. They will put the most important on the top. Go over what your keywords that needed to be on your resume. Those are the points you need to talk about first. Oh course, make sure you know what you need for the whole position. What may have time to discuss everything, but you want to make sure to get to the main points first if they keep the interview short.
Know how to cater it to the role
This is useful for the application as well as the interview. If a role needs more customer service then you want to push that. I’ve work a bunch of bookstore jobs. Yes, I am good at organizing and shelving books, but I would talk more about helping people in person and over the phone. They would want to know I had to patience to help someone with their tablet then that I was trained on the product.
Look Up quizzes
It can be hard in the best of times to talk about your best features. Finding the right words to convey with professionalism. One trick I have to to take quizzes. These can be anything that will give you an attribute. They can be the silliest ones like ‘what pizza are you’ to you Hogwarts House. They give great descriptive words to use.
