Not Everyone Is Interesting

Simply put, not everyone is interesting to everyone else. We’re all different. We all have different interests. We all don’t like the same things, and that’s okay. Introverts, especially, only have so much energy within them to interact with people. You don’t want to use too much of it up talking with people about things you simply don’t care about. At the end of the day, it’s your time and space, and you get to have a say in who occupies it. 

  • There's a difference between someone being nice and someone being interesting. Just because someone is “nice” doesn’t always make that a person you need to talk to. 

  • It’s okay for someone to not be interested in talking to you, just as it’s okay for you to not be interested in talking to them. Just don’t be disrespectful or rude about it in any way. 

  • Don’t feel pressured to talk to anyone. Don’t try to force your way into conversations when there's no real reason to.
