Being a Professional Crafter
It was definitely a slow burn to make money. But I get to craft for a living. In my case, it didn't happen like I had a plan B but I've been out of the workforce for long enough that people didn't want to employ me past my kids both have special needs.
So I just started making things and selling them and and I picked up taking jobs at this little scrapbooking store and different little places. And eventually we moved house and I was teaching at a new store. there was a TV show being filmed in the shop, which was pretty cool.
The Producer asked the owner of the tape does want to do a segment and I'm I'm not afraid to jump in front of the camera. I love video. I think it's fantastic. And so I went all me me me and I put my hand up and filmed a segment for this TV show. Producer liked me so much he tracked me down at a trade show I was doing and I filmed another and then I ended up being a regular presenter. In season five end up being the host of the show, so I had kind of was had this platform where I could talk about craft and and teach people interesting things and encourage them and I was hooked.
So I kind of I fell into it by being in the right place at the right time and talking to people.
I found the stamp company (that I loved) was not represented in Australia at the time and I sent them a message I don't suppose I could have an account. And do you mind if I show your stamps on this TV show I'm doing
